The History of Curse Tablets
Curse tablets are pieces of lead that you would flatten and then write out a curse against somebody. A huge cache of these curse tablets were discovered at a Roman bath in England, what is now called bath England. The theme to this has started in the Greek world I think one of the earliest examples is from the Greek colonies and Sicily. So many of them are about petty theft. You know somebody stole something from me please bring this back to me or oftentimes it's almost like a prayer of justice.
