The Detriments of Taking Birth Control

Most birth controls are either a combination of a thinol estradiol and progestin so think of that as synthetic estrogen and synthetic progesterone. Progesterone is not only doing what progesterone does but it helps to make estrogen do its good stuff too. So when you take birth control you are suppressing those hormones that would be produced otherwise.
