The Curse of the Monad

As soon as you understand what monads are, you become unable to explain them to anyone else. John DeGose had a good kind of explanation of monads which is something we've talked about already. What they're really about is allowing you to program imperatively and functional programming. Without the existence of monads in functional program, there just is no way to like have something that looks imperative.
