The Insecurities of Being Korean
I think that I have a lot of insecurities about who I am in relationship to how we are socialized to present ourselves so what I mean by that is saying that yes I'm you know Korean and Canadian but I also understand that I didn't grow up there. It's something that I've had to really push back on within myself and also as an artist so what I'm trying to think about now is how that Korean ness exists outside of a geography right and how it exists and manifests and expands depending on where it lands itself. That does not make my mom's experience less Korean right so I think that there's an expansion of identity that's really exciting, especially for
