How to Do Good Philosophy
To do good philosophy is a constant fight to uncover your hidden assumptions and your hidden prejudices. You need, you need to be acquainted with the almost infinite set of tricks that mind uses to deceive itself. I have learned that the most effective deception is what i call a too level deception. The first level is a distraction. It's when you have a certain narrative that your mind creates about what's going on, and you buy into it. And then when you start thinking more carefully about it, you realize, ah, i'm deceiving myself. Iam making certain mistakes here. Iwill get one up on my own mind.
