The Future of Chatbots
The people that are working, that are interacting with the chatbot just actually don't know what that thing is. The way that large language models work, they're basically making a statistical prediction of what are some good words to come after the words that I've already written. It's not as if the AI is making a mistake, it's doing exactly what it was programmed to do. But it does know the answer. It just knows the answer to a question that you don't think you're asking. So when's the last time that a program device was used for something that it wasn't actually programmed to do?
