Can We Modify the Language to Achieve Both Goals?
The law is so vague that the barriers of what is permitted or not are in clear every grade level. It puts schools under heightned risk of frivolous lawsuits due to th law's vagueness, it has a profound chilling effect on what teachers talk about. And despite the fact that the law doesn't mention homosexuality or transsexuality specifically, in practice, it will only target depictions of marginalized gender and sexual identities.
