Is Marie Magdalene the Same as Marie Bethany?
The first time we actually get introduced to Mary Magdalene is in Luke chapter 8. She arrives with an alabaster flask of ointment to anoint Christ. The names, especially the apostles, remind us of the heroes of the Maccabees. It's beautiful when you know that it's true and they related who these people were as historical figures.
