The only time that it's not worked for me the taper is because i tapered too much. I think once you've hit ten miles, then psychologically you've got the thing of, like, it's just a five k on top of that. Whereas if i do 11, my brain's going to start messing about with those kind of,. like, mile increments again and be like, ayyo, haven't done the 12 in you have don whereas i feel like if i'd finish on a nice even ten with my, with my longest, long run. And then i have a tapering, lik, or, ouknow, tenically, like t two weeks,
