Dance a Tarrantella
The terrantella has two meanings. The first is a stately courtship dance, but the second is related to spider bites and dancing. People who had bitten by a specific spider would begin convulsing controllably. Music appeared to be the only means of combating this strange epidemic. Lively, shrill tunes played on trumpets and fifes excited the dancers. Soft calm harmonies graduated from fast to slow, high to low,. proved efficacious for the cure.
