I think our human life can be compared to ta life of a tree. I think, again, us being over complicated makes our life very complicated as well. How you are, how you are at right this moment, determine how future will be and how past was. And not thinking too much ahead, just being here and now in a very content and positive attitude will determine how you will be next minute or the next day.
