What Is the Best Historical Analogies for What China Is Doing?
i don't like the way people talk aboute a new cold war, if they're goingto use a capital scene in a capital w because it's not a china in all sorts of ways. And so i've been struggling for a long time, and mike just taa touched on this to come up with a better analogy. I think there are a lot of similarities to the u k. Germany relationship in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. But since we don't know entirely where this one is going yet, my hunch is that our sense of which analogies fit best will change overtime.
