If the united states was a single city state, i would be much more amenable to essentially trying to centrally plan the amount of housing that we have. I don't think we're the only country that kind of has dis function in its public housing. And there's an argument to have some housing that is not owned by the private sector, that's owned by maybe a non-profit agency. For people with special needs, for people who are particularly vulnerable, am to provide them some place where they're not going to be evicted because the landlord wants to sell it and turn it into something more profitable.
