The sleep cycle has come a long way. The level of light that is in your room can make it easier to fall asleep. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the darker your room is, the easier it is for you to fallen asleep. You tend to stay awake as long as you can and then get up at the time they have to get up in order to do the things that they have to do in the day.
