What Are Ghost Guns and What Have You Done to Stop Them?
Ghost guns are firearms that don't have a serial number, and they're not sold from normal gun stores with background checks or other legal compliance. Ghost guns are involved in an increasing number of shootings and homicides in san francisco and across the country. In my first year in office, 20, 20 ghost guns were involved in nearly half of all homicide with a firearm. And so in partnership with the gifford center, a gun violence prevention and with a amazing litigation firm here in San Francisco, we filed the lawsuit back in august of last year,. where we named as defendants, three california based ghost gun manufacturers.
