The First Time in 100 Years That a Total Solar Eclipse Crosses the United States
It's the first time in almost 100 years that a total solar eclipse will cross the entire United States. Most people in most parts of America will be able to see some of the eclipse as long as it's not too cloudy. A total solar eclipse happens somewhere on Earth, roughly every year and a half. It's rare because each solar eclipse can only be seen in one small part of the Earth each time.
