The Tragic Era of the US Supreme Court
Nixon gets elected with a promise to turn the court to the right. He's able to get four nominations in three years, and then we get a totally different court. They did some stuff that I really think of as tragic. There is a case out of Texas challenging the unequal funding of the public schools in Texas. If that had been upheld by the Supreme Court, that would have been the rule everywhere in the United States.
