The Anthropic Principle and the Origins of the Universe
Our existence makes this anthropic principle, which goes back to the 1960s more important all the time. The fact that we're here means that we have access to a certain type of measurement or a certain range of parameters. And if there's a strong bias in the initial conditions towards certain things, by the way we're doing the measurements, then we're going to get things that are not fundamental and anomalous with respect to what the universe could be.
