Under Nixon, he's the one who kind of ushered in the modern drug war era. The controlled substances act was passed under Nixon in the early 70s. It did a lot of things, but for purposes of understanding the analog act, it listed drugs on schedules. And so it's a level of severity of this drug is more dangerous than that drug.
