Preston: In my limited reading, I think you hit the nail on the head that all of it comes from a 100% absolute commitment that the Bible teaches that the earth is young. He says most evangelical Old Testament scholars would agree with what he said about Genesis one to 11 in particular. Preston: The Bible was written to teach us about our fallen nature and our need for redemption. It's not trying to give us this kind of like age of the earth.
