The Importance of Resolving Dependencies

I've recently been working a lot with dependency graphs as a sort of mental model for a bunch of things. And one place that I've started seeing them is in modeling teaching. The idea of hello world can't be taught until chapter 13, because first you need to know monads and applicatives and functors. So learning to actually see the real dependencies and say like, you know what, hello world does not depend on knowing this other thing is useful.
