Right now the rage is additives. There's a red seaweed that in very small experiments when cows ate it massively cut their methane production, really. I'm not convinced yet. But if that's true, it gives us a path to maybe help farmers in a way that also helps the planet. If that doesn't work, then I think you're talking about synthetic biology. So maybe we can just engineer the microbiome and not call it a GMO cow. Who knows?
