Flooding in southern Ukraine has caused a massive humanitarian crisis. There are concerns about the environmental impact of the flooding. The water is particularly polluted and there may be issues with sewage and waste. A number of important ecological areas, including Black Sea Biosphere Reserve, have been affected.
