Attracting More People to Lightning Is Going to Lead to Decentralization
I like that incentive analogy with the YouTube creators and if there's enough money in the system, it will naturally attract more people to it. But I also want to play devil's advocate on the idea that attracting more people to lightning is necessarily going to lead to decentralization. Maybe we do get a lot of lightning node operators, maybe there is a lot of money to be made, but they all end up using the same infrastructure to do it. It becomes pretty hard to monitor this in a way unless people keep opening up about their data. If you look forward 20 years or something, then yeah, this whole landscape might change quite a bit,. Then it could start looking quite different indeed.
