Jessica's Call to 9-1-1 Turned Into a Crime

A detective by the name of Eric Matthews decided that Jessica probably killed her child and that Jessica's call to 9-1-1 was an act. This would become the direction that the detective would pursue in the case. The caller didn't explicitly say what had happened until almost 60 seconds into the call, and she never explicitly asked for an ambulance for her child. These, the detective noted, are indicators of guilt; it provided a framework in which the investigation would be conducted.
