Movie 'Life or Something Like It' - Commentary by David Hoffmeister - Weekly Online Movie Workshop

Dropping the mask and facing the fear of intimacy is the first voted theme for the movie today, and yes, we're ready for that one. Sometimes we think of the mask as our persona, our personality self. Still, Jesus would say, well, it's dropping your identification with the personality self, the persona, but really it's the whole world you perceive. The whole cosmos of time and space is your mask. Your personal mask is just a tiny part of it. So he would say; actually, it's like a big cosmic fig leaf covering your mind, hiding it in time and space, trying to deny your eternal reality as a perfect creation of God, as perfect spirit. So we need help. We're talking about more than a big fig leaf here; we're asking for the veil of time and space to be lifted from our awareness that we may go directly to the light.
