Film Review - She Hangs on Edits

I love films like that. One thing that Reichardt achieved really well, I thought in the film that you're getting at is that the pace was intentional. She hangs on edits. Little shots of like wires after the action has left it. You just stay for a minute. The scene where she shop lifts, I think she puts the apple back. There's a lot of little scenes early on with the pace that the editor, I don't know if Reichardt probably didn't edit it herself, but lingered on shots. An editor should also study, everyone should study psychology, I guess.
