The placibo factinosib effact are nowhere near as powerful and pervasive as was claimed in that paper, nor as powerful or pervasive as people attent to believe in the real world. When you look at differences within groups instead of between them, then you can be prone to drawing some overly confident and potentially iappropriate conclusions. Both groups had the equivalent benefit, which means not that the placibo made them so much better, but rather, the treatment doesn't work.
