The Importance of Cryptocurrency in the Economy
I think it's a little bit of a misdirection when people say, well, if someone uses Bitcoin or some crypto instead of the US dollar, that's bad because obviously they're using it for a reason. And so I think we should consider that to be a sort of benefit for everyone that is a user of cryptocurrency is or of the dollar. If it helps discipline the central bank and stabilize the US dollar then that's good for everyone else as well. But things like stablecoins also might make the dollar more prominent in other ways.
