The Importance of Cultural Capital in Social Settings

The kids who don't have cultural capital learn from their peers. Seamus Kahn talked about that in his book, Privilege. He said the divided Stuyvesant was not just poor kids and richer kids but also children of immigrant kids versus native kids. And it has a lot to do with access to cultural capital that exists within those social settings.
