How a Quantum Computer Can Break a 12-Digit Password

Quantum computers also have bits, called Q-bits, and they exist in a weird quantum state. That means a quantum computer can represent all the different combinations of ones and zeros simultaneously. A classical computer has to methodically walk down every dead end until it finds its way out. Mark Carney says this problem is so hard that even all the classical computing power in the world wouldn't be able to solve it.
