Teachers should be held to account for their efforts and expertise, says Mr Cottrell. It would be unfair to treat all of the people in those different broad categories in the same way, he adds. The most successful way is to watch what they're really good at - then shine a light on it. And that's a really useful way of building rapport with teachers.
