I think seeing TV Joel not having the player agency of controlling this character and just watching him unload on a bunch of fireflies really made you go this dude has a darkness in him. And when it did happen, it I think it did a lot better of a job of hitting you in the head that this guy is not necessarily good. That's what's so messed up about video games is how much we kind of normalize mass murder.
