We Need More Doctors, Nurses and Midwives

We had to take difficult decisions in order to put ourselves in a position where were able to invest sustainably in public services for the long term. But i wouldn't pretend at all it wasn't incredibly painful. And indeed, it was painful in the n h s even though it didn't have any actual real terms cut because demand was increasing faster than the budget. There is still not one doctor in the nh s to day additional doctor as a result of that decision. We need an annual projection of the number of doctors, nurses, midwives, adoscopists and collegists we're going to need. This will allow us to hold the government to account on training enough going forward
