In May 1917, a month after the U.S. joined the First World War, Vladimir Lenin delivered a lecture on the question of the class character of the war. On the subject of America's recent entry into the war, in its relationship with supposed Allied power, Japan, here's what Lenin said: "America's real aim in entering the war is to prepare for this future war with Japan"
