How to Index Your Site
For new sites, especially the homepage should be very simple to get indexed. Our systems are built such that homepages like domain.com slash will get crawled pretty much first and get indexed first. If we don't even crawl it, which you can check from Search Console or your server logs, then that definitely points to a bigger problem. We prefer that prefer for crawling and indexing, especially when it's a new site.
