The Golden Calf in Exodus, Chapter 32

The spies were sent to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel. They're about 40 days and they see some wonderful stuff. And then you get to verse 28. What happens? Well, what we're going to see in this story is it's quite a bit like the episode of the Golden Calf in Exodus, chapter 32. So just as Moses is in the mountain for 40 days, now these spies are in the promised land for 40 days and when they come back, they give a bad report to the people.
