The Rise and Fall of Justification in the Church

I think Protestants have gotten more comfortable with that as there's a lot of discussion in Protestant circles about theosis. As I look over Paul and interpretation since well say 1800 you know I'm not sure I see a consensus emerging, but I do see an ongoing debate. It's always good for systematic theology to be reminded that whether it likes it or not it is based on biblical interpretation. In quite a few areas of theology you have theological debate which simply doesn't engage the scripture. Theology allows us to say maybe these guys really need to talk to each other more even though I realize that's a very hard thing to ask for.
