"I think you're talking about something that is very real and that I see around me all the time. And my husband and I have made a choice not to raise our kids with that sort of helicoptering," she says. "We do give her a lot more freedom than I think other kids have, in terms of just exploring the neighborhood." She doesn't curse a lot at home but does let her listen to songs or watch movies that have cursing in them.
