Casper was the big D2C brand in the early 2010s but now if you look at where Casper is it's practically bankrupt their stock price is like practically down to zero. Matthew: I think they actually spent on marketing more than what they can actually choose to be very honest. He says a typical problem of not really understanding who your audience are and who's going to buy your products will lead them into venture capital traps. Mattress value might be high when it comes to mattresses right? You need to get back unit economics after a certain point for a software company whether that makes sense for a mattress maker.
