The Politics of Erdogan

In the early years of Erdogan's prime ministership and later presidency, I think it was politically expedient that Erdogan was able to appeal as a mediator. And Coolitz Darrylou spoke in support of Kurdish rights, didn't he? And Erdogan's response to that was to call him a terrorist sympathizer. That worked right up until 2013, 2014, when there was this movement to try to unite the Kurdish liberation movement with the other left. As soon as that happened, the response from their Erdogan system was to cut off any talks from negotiations with the PKK.
