The Deconversion of Evangelical Christianity
Vogel: Evangelical Christianity is a modern form of Christianity, which my hunch is has all of the emptiness of secularism. She says it became more or less associated with a kind of dogmatic, pig-headed legalism in the minds of many people. But she adds that evangelicalism made peace with the market and privatized the faith to such a degree that you could be a Christian.
