The Saliba in Muslim Spain
There was a route across France. which then cross the Pyrenees and slaves were being taken down to Muslim Spain. And there they were known as the Saliba. Now Slav was an ethnic term originally, but it came to mean also in our own language, slave. So what we see in this, it's a mum look Egypt is really in a certain sense, just a reiteration of something that's been going on for centuries within the Mediterranean,. particularly in the Muslim Mediterranean.
