How Do You Handle Nerves in the Court of Appeal?
The best way of dealing with nerves is I think football as well, Tilly. The first practical tip is when you get to the court of appeal, physically, when you go in, I always write the names of the usually three, sometimes two judges, somewhere on a piece of paper. Once addressed one of them using the wrong name because I had a senior moment. And he very kindly put me at my ease by saying, there's a pause when I addressed him by the wrong name. And then I corrected myself as quickly as possible.
