The Importance of Being a Friendship

A lot of comics have that survival instinct where like you don't beat yourself up too much. But at a certain point, if you haven't gotten very good, then it is your fucking fault. And so, yeah, you can't always blame the crowd. You can't blame the cool kids for not booking you enough or giving you the right spot at the open mic. It's like, no, dude, you suck. You've been around for a long time. So watch more stand up and then do better when you write,. Like be more unique or personal or or do anything else but stand up.
