The Importance of Diversifying Your Portfolio in Fixed Income
When you're dealing with fixed income, it's really important to have a very well-diversified portfolio. The Silicon Valley Bank, First Republic, credit suites are examples of high quality banks that would be under stress if they were owned by individual investors. You don't get doubling or tripling your money, but if you have the wrong bonds, you can lose all your money in that bond. So, you really need to be really well- diversified.
