In the seven hundreds, there also then was the rise and flourishing of hindu mystical and philosophical schools. New philosophers, new schools, and sometimes organized into monasteries grew atthi after the break up of the gupta empire. And in particular, there was the flourishing of a philosophical movement called vidanta,. which had existed before, but really reached a new power and influence during this period.
