It has been suggested that terminally differentiated cells apparently trying to re enter the cell cycle. This may be part of the at the genesis of these diseases, is you take a cell that is never meant to divide again. So it leads to all kinds of abnormalities in terms of the genom. However, they do not end up dividing. They end up either being permanently just functional or actually dying in the process. And we and others have done so we did this initiale in muscle and in liver, and then collaboratiely in brain,. It has now been done in more than a dozen tissues, showing that the young animal can actually restore youthful tissues.
