When making decisions, our sense of morality acts as a filter that sort of guides or predetermines the set of possibilities we deliberately choose between. This is interesting because it reminds me of what professor allison gopnick talked about when we invited her for this fantastic boadcast i talk recently. She talks about this explorer exploit trade off, which apparently comes up a lot in computer science, in machine learning, but it's really everywhere around us. And i like the examples you gave in the paper of everyday decisions, like the decision to purchase tooth paste or a brand of coffee. So yo thinking that this might be a feature of how we make decisions in general?
