In the day, railroads had to be chartered by 15 separate companies in order to build one continuous line. In this case, a company was chartered because they were building in indiana. But none of the towns named in that name - chicago, goshan or south bend - were along the line. So j d price hired an experienced electric street railroad engineer called blake maple doram.
